Last Saturday, I watch again my all-time favorite movie about Sushi, it was a story of a Japanese Chef name Jiro. (who owns the most expensive Sushi Restaurant in Japan)
I cannot remember how many times I watch the film, but this time my attention goes to his apprentice and now chef, Daisuke Nagasawa. In that film, there’s a part when he said that he took almost 200 Rejected Sushi Eggs before na ma accept yung gawa niya ni Jiro. Makin mo, 200 high quality ingredients muna ang ginamit nya to make sushi eggs before finally I-consider na good quality at pwede nang i-serve sa customers.
And he cried after finally for all those years na ginugul nya para ma master ang first dish niya.
Imagine the level of perseverance he took and a number of frustrations that he experienced before he pass his first dish.
The Sushi Egg.
Imagine mo, marami satin, ma reject lang once or twice, tumitigil na at hindi na nag papatuloy i-improved yung sarili natin. After sometime they tried and pag ndi nag work, mag decide na mag quit nalang thinking hindi para sa atin.
Pano pa kaya ang mareject ka ng “200 times” for exactly the same thing over and over again?
And you know what, that level of patience, nagawa na ni Chef Daisuke na tangghalin na pinamasarap na sushi maker sa New York ngayon.
And the price of their sushi is starting at a minimum of $325 per person, and you will not be considered kung ndi ka mag bayad ng credit card in advance.
And now you’re going to ask me…
Why tell this story?
Wala gusto kolang,hahaha.
Pero pwera biro, this story will give some of us the inspiration to persevere and pursue whatever we want in this world.
Whatever craft na gusto nating i-master.
Whether freelancing, cooking, sports, or whatever we want for ourselves that will make our future better like Chef Daisuke and his family.
If we’re just going to take it seriously and devote our time, effort, sa tingin ko naman may ma-aabot tayo.
🙂
Kagaya ko ngayon, I’m getting certifications sa career ko, at I’m patiently watching training and answering quizzes to get my hubspot certificates.
Oo, kahit kasi 7 years nakong social media manager at content creator, wala akong ti-nry na kuning certifications so right now, I’m taking some time kahit pa ilang minuto araw araw to watch videos and take the examinations.
Oo minsan tinatamad pero ganun talaga.
Kelangan eh.
